Dr. Sauerhammer leads the Wisconsin Institute of Plastic Surgery with a deep commitment to patient fulfillment. Every day, she helps individuals in Appleton and Green Bay move past aesthetic concerns and embrace their personal identity, allowing them to live their lives exactly the way they envision. She is a double board-certified surgeon by both the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery, signifying her commitment to the highest standards of care.
Dr. Sauerhammer’s practice encompasses a full spectrum of rejuvenating procedures for the body, breasts, and face, in addition to advanced reconstructive, pediatric plastic surgery, and noninvasive treatments.

Dr. Sauerhammer is unique in her field — she is one of the only female plastic surgeons in Appleton and Green Bay, and is the only fellowship-trained craniofacial and pediatric plastic surgeon in Northeast Wisconsin.
Her dedication to achievement began early: she was a child prodigy who began college at age 14, and is the youngest-ever graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and the University of Wisconsin Medical School. She is also a noted performer, recognized as an accomplished cellist and pianist. For many, she is remembered as a former Miss Wisconsin and second runner-up to Miss America. These accomplishments have been profiled by national media, including CNN, People magazine, and CBS Early Show. A young mother of three children who grew up in the community, she truly understands the aesthetic concerns her patients face and is personally invested in their successful outcome.
Dr. Sauerhammer's exceptional training has taken her to some of the nation's most prestigious institutions. After completing medical school, she finished her residency in general surgery at the University of Wisconsin Hospital and Clinics.
A fellowship at the Lahey Clinic followed, where she trained at the renowned Harvard hospitals (and was a member of the team that performed the first full-face transplant in the country). This led to her specialization as a fellow at Children’s National Medical Center (C NMC) in Washington, DC, where she served as a plastic surgeon and director before returning to practice in Northeast Wisconsin. As a frequent lecturer and board member for prestigious organizations, Dr. Sauerhammer continues to contribute to the future of plastic surgery and her local community.
While her training is world-class, Dr. Sauerhammer is a Green Bay native, and she enjoys the opportunity to practice in her hometown. In her personal time, she enjoys barre, traveling, and dining, and continues her philanthropic work, often judging state-level competitions as a former Miss Wisconsin.
