Melasma, often triggered by hormonal changes or sun exposure, can often cause the appearance of stubborn brown patches on your face. At Wisconsin Institute of Plastic Surgery in Appleton and Green Bay, we offer the LUCENTE® Treatment Package—a comprehensive approach to addressing melasma and achieving a more radiant, even skin tone.

What Is the Lucente Treatment Package?

The Lucente Treatment Package combines the power of in-office microneedling treatments with the continuous benefits of an at-home cream. This two-pronged approach targets melasma at its source, helping to reduce the appearance of dark spots and prevent future pigmentation.

The package includes:

  • Two Sessions of Microneedling with Lucente Brightening Solution: Microneedling creates tiny micro-injuries in the skin, stimulating collagen production and enhancing the absorption of the Lucente Brightening Solution. This specialized solution is packed with ingredients that target melanin production and promote a brighter complexion. Sessions are spaced 2-4 weeks apart.
  • Three Months of Lucente Home Cream: To maintain the results achieved through microneedling, you’ll receive a three-month supply of Lucente Home Cream. This cream is formulated to complement your in-office treatments, providing continuous support for a more even skin tone.

How Does It Work?

The Lucente Treatment Package targets melasma and other forms of pigmentation at four different stages of the melanocyte lifecycle:

  1. Inhibition of melanocyte stimulation: Prevents the activation of melanocytes, the cells responsible for producing melanin.
  2. Inhibition of melanin synthesis: Reduces the production of melanin within the melanocytes.
  3. Control of melanosome transfer: Limits the transfer of melanosomes (the organelles that carry melanin) to surrounding skin cells.
  4. Elimination of melanin: Promotes the elimination of existing melanin from the skin.

Key Ingredients

  • Tranexamic acid: A powerful skin-brightening agent that inhibits melanin production.
  • Niacinamide: A form of vitamin B3 that helps to reduce inflammation and improve skin tone.
  • Hexylresorcinol: An antioxidant that brightens skin and protects against environmental damage.
  • Hydroquinone: A skin-lightening agent that reduces the appearance of dark spots. (Note: Hydroquinone is only available in the Lucente Home Cream.)

The Benefits of the Lucente Treatment Package

  • Reduced appearance of melasma: By combining both in-office and at-home treatments, the Lucente Treatment Package effectively targets the underlying causes of melasma, leading to a significant reduction in the appearance of dark spots.
  • Brighter, more even skin tone: The Lucente Brightening Solution and Home Cream work synergistically to promote a more luminous complexion, revealing brighter, healthier-looking skin.
  • Long-lasting results: The combination of microneedling and continuous at-home care helps to maintain the results achieved through in-office treatments, ensuring a brighter, more even skin tone for an extended period.

Pricing

The Lucente Treatment Package is priced at $1400.
