Amanda Olsen, PA-C

Amanda has been in the plastic surgery industry since 2010. She received her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and went on to receive her Masters of Medical Science degree in Physician Assistant studies at Yale University.

Upon graduating from Yale she began her career as a Physician Assistant at Boston Children’s Hospital and was the chief Physician Assistant of the Plastic and Oral Surgery department. As a Wisconsin native, Amanda Olsen is beyond excited to be joining the Wisconsin Institute of Plastic Surgery, Plastic Surgery Division. She is thrilled to join Dr. Sauerhammer specifically, as she did her training in the Harvard hospitals including Boston Children’s Hospital, the same place Amanda was first employed as a PA.

Commitment to Excellence

Amanda’s professional philosophy has always been to provide care for her patients in an environment where they feel understood and that their medical and emotional needs are heard and met.

Amanda loves plastic surgery because it offers a new problem and solution for every patient and case even those with the same diagnosis. “I love seeing patients as individuals and treating their concerns as such. The cosmetic and reconstructive aspects add another layer of ‘plasticity’ which is what plastic surgery is all about.”

Amanda enjoys spending time with her daughter, practicing hot yoga, traveling, making and eating great food, and outdoor activities.
